There’s a lot happening in the world, and we know that being a kid today is full of exciting moments, but also some challenges. That’s why we want to hear from YOU!

The Childhood Summit is a special event where kids get to share their thoughts, ideas, and dreams about what it’s like growing up in Logan, Queensland, Australia, and beyond. This is your chance to speak up and be heard!

💡 What do you wish grown-ups understood about being a kid today?

🌎 How can we all work together to make the world a happier, healthier place for kids?

At the Childhood Summit, your voice can make a difference! We’re looking for 42 incredible kids (ages 3-14) to be the Voice of Childhood at the 2025 Childhood Summit in Logan on October 24-25. This is a HUGE event where kids get to speak directly to adults who make decisions about childhood – and they’re ready to listen!

🗣 What’s in it for you?

✅  Take the stage and speak up about what is important to you (up to 10 minutes) to an audience of up to 300 very interested grown-ups who support children.

✅ Get a video recording of your speech to keep forever.
✅ Earn a $240 speaker’s payment (includes GST) (yep, you get paid to share your voice!).
✅ Bring 10 family & friends to watch you shine!

✅ Option to be mentored for 8 weeks leading up to the event

2025 Childhood Summit theme:

'Through Their Eyes'

This year’s theme hopes to invite children to share their wisdom and insights and let grown-up’s in, on the worlds they inhabit. This will:

​

• Showcase the diversity of issues facing modern young people in the neighbourhoods and communities they live.

• Demonstrate the wisdom of young people and their valuable solutions and contributions to wicked problems.

• Provide children a pathway for contribution to our communities.

• Support children to grow into active, engaged community citizens who strongly value the land, the people and community. 

• Support grown-ups’ to make better decision with and for young people

• Raise awareness of the limited opportunities children have in this modern world, to feel heard, validated and valued.
