ELLIE KNIGHT

My name is Ellie Knight. I’m 12 years old and I’m in my first year of high school at Shailer Park. I love doing thrilling things like going to theme parks. My favourite animals are dogs and I have one called Lana. I also have two little siblings in my household and three step siblings living elsewhere. I wanted to speak at the Childhood Summit to talk more about what I mentioned in my application video – Quality Time with Parents.
I believe that children don’t get to spend enough time with their parents, and some parents don’t know how they can be present in their kids’ lives. It’s a topic I can relate to that I think is very relevant today. I want to speak up for any kids out there that feel this way and raise awareness to the adults in their lives. It was hard to condense my application video to two minutes, because there is so much more I can say about this topic.
