RAWIRI (PEPI) HEKE

Child Voice Speaker

Kia ora guys, I'm Rawiri Heke, and I am from Aotearoa, New Zealand. I'm proud of my Māori heritage, with Ngāpuhi, Te Rarawa, Ngāti Hine, Raukawa, and Maniapoto blood running through my veins.

When I'm not busy, you can find me playing on the basketball court or tackling opponents in rugby. But that's not all—I'm also part of the Bloodline Hip Hop dance crew, representing as one of the Young Hitterz.

There's something that really bugs me, though. The cost of living in Logan is crazy, and it's causing missed opportunities for so many young people. Homelessness is a major issue, and it's messed up how it affects our education too.

That's why I'm eager to speak at the childhood summit. I want to share my perspective as a young person and recommend changes that can make a real difference. Together, we can tackle these problems and create a better future for all of us.
