Child Voice Speaker

The importance of indigenous children learning their culture and language is so that the language doesn't become extinct.it will continue through the generations

We need more culturally competent teachers in our schools who have knowledge of aboriginal traditions and or any knowledge of traditional customs and see more of these practices in our schools.

As more Māori move to Australia it doesn't entirely mean that we leave behind our language and culture in NZ. That-is The very thing that makes us who we are. Continuing those practices and traditions daily is important for my spiritual , physical and mental health.

I'm here to speak about the importance of my culture and my language and I hope this topic will encourage more indigenous children to speak their truth.
