MABEL MOB DANCERS

Cultural Performance

The Mabel Park State School's 'Mabel Mob' First Nations program provides an opportunity for our Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to connect with each other and participate in cultural activities with a focus on contemporary Indigenous dance and song. Mabel Mob perform at various school and community events throughout the year. First established back in 2013, Mabel Mob has persisted for over a decade - through transitions of staff, students, and families - and remains an integral part of our school community forming part of our school identity. There have been many people over the years who have played significant roles in establishing and sustaining Mabel Mob, positively shaping our participating jarjums self-confidence, sense of belonging, cultural identity, and pride in who they are.
